Teale Simmons - healthy soils and farms
Teale is a young independent agronomist who has an honours degree in Agriculture at the University of Sydney with his honours project researching the effects of multispecies cover crops on soil microbes and soil health. He was an AgriFutures Australia Horizon scholar in 2023.
Teale is well known for his Agresol videos on YouTube and Facebook explaining the links between soil science & and productivity in a way that farmers can understand.
He works with farmers on soil health, plant nutrition and nutrient management, with a strong focus on understanding what is actually happening in the soil and using that information to make better decisions on-farm.
He is passionate about restoring soils and regenerating farms to enhance food quality and improve farming outcomes.

Understanding plant tissue analysis to make more informed decisions.
After lunch there is an optional visit to a nearby farm where Teale will lead a paddock walk. If you are staying for the paddock walk please bring coat, hat and boots.
