Multi-species Pasture Coaching Course

The South Gippsland Landcare Network will be running a multi-species pasture coaching course from October 2026 - October 2027.

This will follow on from a successful program that has run for the three years before. New participants are being sought for the 4th year and will join with the existing participants from years 1, 2 & 3.

Participants in the program will have the chance to:

  • Attend two training workshops and farm walks in spring and autumn with specialist Jade Killoran

  • Develop personalised plans for trialling multispecies on their farms

  • Compare successes and challenges with other farmers during online meetings and via a chat group

  • Join over 60 farmers from previous years, and be able to learn from their experiences.

We saw an increase from 4 days grazing to 22 days grazing in the same 2.5-hectare area with a multispecies crop, compared to traditional pasture.
